Life has a funny way of leading us down unexpected paths. Like many others, I once believed that pursuing an MBA and working a traditional 9-5 job was the key to a successful and fulfilling life. However, my journey took an unforeseen turn, and today I find myself in a role I never imagined—working as a social media manager at First Fiddle Restaurants.
There was a time when I felt lost, unsure of what direction to take in life. My sole ambition was to pursue an MBA, believing that it would secure my future and provide stability. I longed for the comfort of a 9-5 routine, but deep down, I questioned why I desired to become a corporate slave when I had aspirations of starting my own business in the future.

I embarked on the arduous journey of preparing for MBA exams, but I soon found myself overwhelmed and stressed. Sleepless nights plagued me as I wondered if I could muster the strength to go through it all again. It felt as if I was hitting a wall, unable to absorb the information I needed. This struggle led me into a downward spiral of depression, lasting for several months.
Despite my internal battle, I managed to achieve better-than-expected results in my exams. However, my stubbornness prevented me from settling for anything less than admission to one of the top 10 B-schools. With no concrete plans on my plate, I took a risk—a risk of not joining any institute.

On December 31st, filled with anxiety about my future, I applied to various places for interviews. I had one goal in mind—to explore different possibilities beyond an MBA. To my surprise, I received interview invitations from six different companies, each offering a unique profile. Curiosity and a sense of adventure led me to choose First Fiddle Restaurants.

What started as an internship at First Fiddle turned out to be a stroke of luck. Within 15 days, I was promoted to the role of an account manager. The position I now held required two years of experience, yet I had managed to secure it with only 15 days under my belt. Gratitude filled my heart, and I thanked my stars every single day for this opportunity.

As a social media manager, I now handle six accounts. The workload is demanding, and tears are not uncommon, but through it all, I have discovered a deep love for my job. It may be hectic, but it resonates with my heart and soul. The joy I feel when crafting engaging content, connecting with the audience, and witnessing the impact of my efforts is indescribable.

Life has a way of steering us in unexpected directions. What I initially saw as a detour from my MBA dreams turned out to be a divine intervention. My journey of self-discovery and career fulfillment led me to a role that allows me to express my creativity, make a difference, and love what I do. Today, as a social media manager at First Fiddle Restaurants, I am filled with gratitude for the path I've taken and the opportunities that have come my way. I've come to understand that it's not about conforming to societal expectations, but rather about finding our own unique path and embracing the love we have for our work. That's all for today!
